Drug Uses

For treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease in adults and elderly patients, the recommended dose of Prilosec may vary between 20-60 mg per day. A daily dose of Prilosec for a child is adjusted according to his weight. A children dose of Prilosec may vary from 5 to 20 mg.
Missed dose
Take a missed dose of Prilosec, as soon as you remember. But if it's time for the next dose of proton pump inhibitor, do not take it. And after the next dose intake, return to the regular dosing schedule of Prilosec.

For treatment of ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori, Prilosec can be used in combination with antibiotics (clarithromycin, amoxicillin).
